Children's Programs

Join us for kid-specific play and learning during our Faith Formation Sundays. Programs for elementary kids and childcare for littles are hosted during adult classes.

Kids' Camp & Leadership Camp

We host Kids' Camp every summer for the children of CTS, with a parallel leadership program for middle schoolers. It is a time of learning, service and community. 

Family Programs

We regularly host family-centered programs to build our faith practices. Intergenerational experiences are a core part of CTS.

Middle School Youth

CTS offers a comprehensive Confirmation program. This is a three year program in which youth grapple with their faith as they prepare to affirm their baptisms the fall of their freshman year.  During those three years we explore the Old Testament, New Testament, and the Lutheran tradition.​

Why Confirmation?

This is an opportunity for the church to continue to partner with parents in living the promises made at baptism:

        *To live with them among God’s faithful people
        *Bring them to the word of God and the holy supper
        *Teach them the Lord’s Prayer, Creed, and Ten Commandments
        *Place in their hands the Holy Scriptures
        *Nurture them in faith and prayer

So that they may learn to trust God, proclaim Christ through word and deed, care for each other and the world God made, and work for justice and peace.  

​These promises are affirmed by students on the day of their confirmation as they proclaim their faith in front of this community.  

Mystery Week

Each July, middle and high school students spend a week with caring adults in service, games, field trips, and faith formation activities. Youth sign up based on their schedules, and each day's plans are revealed to guardians the day before, and youth on the day of the event! 

 High School Youth

High School youth gather twice monthly for faith formation and fellowship. We also celebrate special events together throughout the year, from our annual Christmas Party to our Senior Dinner in May. 

High schoolers are also invited to participate in an annual summer trip, in which we serve, learn and grow together. We explore themes of justice in local and regional locations. We also continue our relationship with Maya women's organizations in Guatemala.
