We Believe:
God is with us. God made each one of us, God was fully human and fully divine in Jesus Christ, and God’s Spirit continues to guide us. We connect to God and to one another in our weekly worship services and our life together in Christ’s community.
|
God speaks to us.The Bible is God’s inspired word. Through scripture, we meet Christ, hear of God’s love and mercy, and receive guidance for life and faith. Studying scripture together is an opportunity to hear God’s voice through the community.
|
God welcomes us all.God made a world full of the beautiful range of people, creatures, and all life. We are a Reconciling in Christ congregation who declares God’s love for people of all races, languages, ages, sexual orientations, gender identities, economic status, and abilities.
|
God renews our faith, connects us in relationship, and uses our gifts to respond to the world around us.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are kids welcome in worship?Absolutely!
At CTS we encourage children of all ages to be part of worship. Children's bibles can be found in the pews among the hymnals. The Kids' Corner has space to move around, alternative seating, and a bookcase with books, supplies for coloring, interactive worship kits, and booster seats. Plus, we have a playroom down the hall. |
I'm LGBTQ. Am I welcome?Yes. As you are. Fully welcome.
CTS became a Reconciling in Christ community in 2010 and continues to live out our commitment to welcome people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. All gender bathrooms are available on each level. |

Tell me more about worship...
Who can take communion? We believe Christ is the host and invites us ALL to this meal.
Our practice is that those who would like bread hold out their hands. Those who prefer a blessing cross their arms over their body. Communion class for families and a special invitation to 3rd graders takes place in the spring, giving families a chance to learn more together. |
How should I dress? However you feel comfortable.
Our congregation tends to lean toward more casual attire, but if you're feeling like dressing up, please do so! Jeans and your favorite t-shirt? Come on in. Sunday best? You look great! The pastor keeps things pretty casual, both in dress and tone. |
What is the worship style? It depends!
Love your ELCA hymnal? Come to 8 am traditional style worship with hymns. Feeling a more contemporary vibe? 9:30 service is for you! Drums, and electric guitar help lead worship from the back. |
